My perspective:“Poilievre opposed to Alberta sovereignty but says he understands province’s frustration.”

I believe Pierre Poilievre is responsible for enabling the growing separatist sentiment in Alberta. He has failed to reach out to many non-conservative ridings, creating divisiveness among Canadians. During his time in opposition and during the election, he restricted freedom of the press, which turned off many voters. Additionally, his inability to form coalitions with other parties stems from his view that political parties are enemies rather than rivals, making it very difficult for him to work with them. This attitude has positioned the Conservative Party of Canada as an outcast in political dialogues. I think it is time for the CPC to call for a leadership review.

If Mark Carney were the leader of the CPC, I believe he would guide the party to a supermajority government. In contrast, Pierre Poilievre depended on highlighting Trudeau’s flaws, whereas Mark Carney took a different approach. This is why Pierre failed to win the election and lost his riding.
